Non era poi così complicato, conoscendo il soggetto, interpretare il lungo articolo comparso sul Sun ad inizio settimana. Il titolo, per tutti coloro che amano soffermarsi solo su quello che i redattori preferiscono mettere in evidenza, non lasciava adito a dubbi: "Cesc urges Wenger to spend". Questo Blog, il sottoscritto, abituato ad "entrare" più in profondità, ha titolato, invece, così: "Patience and work". Perché il senso di quanto detto dal Capitano quello era, né più né meno: pazienza e duro lavoro, nella vita come nel calcio, per raggiungere equilibrio e vittorie, attraverso le sconfitte, che forgiano e spronano a dare sempre di più.

Nella conferenza stampa post-North London Derby, Arsène Wenger ha confermato quanto scritto in questo spazio, denunciando quel brutto modo di fare giornalismo che condiziona, senza motivazioni alcune (tranne quelle di tiratura), l'opinione pubblica:

"It bothers me and I will tell you why. Because this was an article organised by the Club with a check view after the article. Not only did the reporter not respect the agreement but also he twisted completely the article. We are really upset about it. It is disappointing and unprofessional from the journalist. The whole article is the opposite of what the player said. We give not as much importance to the media as you think. Our job is to talk a little and do a lot and your job is to talk a lot. We accept that people talk about us but we have to be strong enough to deal with that.".
