31 years ago July 25th 1980 AC/DC’s “Back In Black” album was released, which would ultimately catapult the band to becoming the biggest and most successful rock ‘n roll band in the world, and setting the stage for the massive success of rock music in general throughout most of the 1980’s. “Back In Black” has since gone on to sell over an astounding 49 million albums worldwide, solidifying its place as the best selling rock album of all time. It would be perhaps a bitter sweet success, as the album was released just 5 months after the untimely passing of original lead singer Bon Scott, however AC/DC dedicated the entire album in Bon’s memory, which was a fitting tribute to their lost friend and band mate.
